Chideline is a sweet young girl with bright eyes, but her future hasn’t always seemed so bright. Just this year, Chideline faced severe malnutrition, which threatened to impact her growth and ability to thrive permanently. Her caregivers sought help from Danita’s Children Malnutrition Program, and there they found the support that would allow Chideline to heal and grow strong.

Today, Chideline is no longer severely malnourished, and her weight is now stable. She is still on the prevention program for malnutrition, but she is living her life as a healthy, happy little girl!

With the current crisis, the Lord is continuing to bless us with the strength to press forward and overcome any challenges that is coming against us. he is our deliverer!

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Danita's Children Medical Center is saving lives! Will you partner with us? The expansion of our NICU opened earlier this year and is already making an impact in the community we serve in Haiti. Families are able to access the specialized care their critically ill infants need to survive. I wanted to share the story of baby Fonrose, one of the very first patients admitted into our NICU.

On Friday, June 3, the team was able to operate on three children, all who needed hernia repair. One patient had two hernias and the team was able to do surgery on both at the same time.

Jules’ mother came to our hospital back in October 2021 when she noticed that her son may have a hernia. She was able to have a consultation with our doctor and found out that he did need to have surgery to repair the hernia.
