FARM PROJECT

DONATE TODAY

Help us become more self-sustainable...

We’re excited about this project because it gives us a reliable food source for the children we serve, reduces our need to buy food, and may eventually help offset our overall costs. That’s significant, and we’re able to do all of this with land we already own!

Dear Friends,

I am excited to be writing to you today about a new project we are working on to support the children and work in Haiti. We are always looking for ways to steward the money and resources we have wisely. Recently, we’ve been using our resources to expand our farming project!

Danita’s Children owns 106 acres of land, which will primarily be used for farming. This will be great for many of the children that want to learn the vocation of farming. We have begun Phase 1 of this project with:

• 4 acres of peanuts

• 200 sugar cane plants

• 300 pineapple plants

• 100 banana trees

• 300 plantain trees

• 500 yuca plants

Our goal with this farming project is to become more self-sustainable. The peanuts we grow will help us produce peanut butter for our children’s homes and they can be sold to a local factory that makes high protein bars for our malnutrition programs. In addition, in Phase 2, we will add our goat and chicken farm. This project will supplement our feeding program, ensuring that we can provide nutritious food for the children who come to us for help.

The news around the world is warning us of an impending food shortage. This is a crucial project for us and we will not be able to complete it without your help.

To cover the most essential needs for Phase 1, we will need $126,000. This includes:

One tractor, irrigation system, two wells, various farming tools, generator, motorcycle, farm house, local laborers, construction of a road on our property, and security.

Danita’s Children is a debt-free organization, but now we must focus on becoming more self-sustainable. By giving to our farming project, we will be able to use our land to its fullest potential and secure our future. Your gift is an investment into the lives of the children that we serve in our school, hospital, and children’s homes.

Please prayerfully consider supporting this crucial project. We are so grateful for you!

For the children,

Danita
