In Haiti, it can be extremely difficult for families and children traveling many hours for medical care, especially from areas with some of the highest malnutrition rates in the country. Many times, we have seen parents traveling for days with children who are hanging on for dear life.

That’s why we were so thrilled to have been selected last year by Haiti Air Ambulance as a receiving hospital partner. Haiti Air Ambulance provides these suffering children with free flights to transport them to our medical center so that they can receive quality care by our amazing pediatric team.

But that is just one piece to the puzzle. After we receive the child, we have to make sure we have all of the necessary supplies to treat them effectively.

This is where YOUR help and support comes in.

In January we received Flordjina, a 1-month-old baby from Northwest Haiti. Flordjina was in critical condition needing intensive care for severe malformations and complications, along with malnutrition. The baby’s mother, Margalè, is 19 years old and was desperate to save her newborn’s life. We are grateful to report that baby and mama are both receiving love, care and hope for their futures, thanks to our medical team and Haiti Air Ambulance!

Days later, we received another young child: 22-month-old Naidlove, who was transported with his 18-year-old mother, Didine. He faced infection and malnutrition, along with physical disabilities, and needed inpatient hospitalization and urgent care from our Medical Center. Today, Naidlove is doing great and we are hopeful he will grow stronger and be able to go back home within the next month!

These children were flown to us specifically for the quality of our pediatric medical care. Even with our amazing partners at Haiti Air Ambulance, we would not have been able to save their lives without resources – provided by you!

Please prayerfully consider helping us continue serving and
saving children in Haiti in 2019.
