Danita’s Children Medical Center was able to send a local medical team of five physicians and two nurses to serve the people of southern Haiti that were most affected by last week’s earthquake.
We chartered a plane to transport medical supplies and collaborated with local organizations and the Ministry of Public Health (MSPP) to assess their needs and provide the care they requested.
We have encountered structural damage, cracked roads, and countless patients needing care. We have been able to provide medical care to over 200 patients and distribute over 400 doses of medications. We have seen a lot of post earthquake wounds that have been left unattended, leading to infection. We are also providing primary care for those who don’t have access to anything.
Please pray for the team on the ground as we continue to provide hope to those who are suffering during this time.
